ALP600 Triple-Rotor Online AL Melt Degasser

  

ALP600 Main Application

 

ALP600 is a 3-level online degasser with triple rotors and 90° swing angle. This system can be installed on special designed degassing launder for online continuous degassing, suitable for continuous or semi-continuous casting. The 3 rotors can be lifted and controlled independently. The launder bowl is embedded baffles to form and separate independent degassing sections. Rotors can be lifted individually for consumable parts replacement without interfering other rotors’ degassing. The degassing box is opened with 3 dross-removal windows, no interfering to degassing. The system fits furnaces with a capacity of15 Kg/HALmelt flow. Degassing medium: 99.996% pure dry argon or nitrogen, can be provided directly by gas center.

  

ALP600 Mechanical Parameters

 

1.The system can be designed as non-swing type or with a 90° whole swing angle.

2.Triple-rotor design, same rotation, rotors control rotation speed and gas flow independently.

3.Rotors and heat insulation cover can be lifted as a whole, meanwhile, rotors can be separated with the heat insulation cover. Consumable parts can be replaced for individual rotor and separate rotor installation and maintenance with no interference to other rotors at degassing.

4.Electric chain lift.

5.Fast connectors for power and gas circuit.

6.System is set with a special dross removal window, with no interference to degassing.

7.External dry air connection interface for air cooling fans, spindle and bearing.

8.Taper hooks above each rotor, convenient for single dismantlement and maintenance.

ALP600 Degassing Principles

 

Inject pre-set quantity of inert gas into theALmet through rotating graphite shaft and rotor. The rotor disperses the inert gas into millions of small bubbles, evenly into the melt. Small inert gas bubbles capture hydrogen and nonmetallic impurities, then altogether flow to the melt surface.
